The RamSan 440 supplies 45Gbps (Forty-Five) thoughput. I do believe though the issues is latency and not entirely throughput. Oracle is more along the lines of not per licence but how much is your life worth

TQ is a cluster yes but the database server is not afaik. (just two replicated servers) Also if you look at the new server specs it's a 4 way server so if it suddenly did not have enough oomph then CCP could easily chuck in two more processors if...
